What is therapy?
Therapy is a process where a mental health professional helps individuals address and resolve issues that affect their mental health and well-being.

What are the benefits of therapy?​
Therapy can improve emotional and psychological well-being, and it is linked with positive changes in the brain, to emotions and the body. I offer a range of therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy, anxiety management and stress reduction, each with their own approach and focus. However, at Optimized Transformations therapy interventions are provided from a holistic perspective and a concierge service is tailored to meet your own specific needs.​

How long does therapy last?
Therapy sessions are typically held once a week for about 45 to 50 minutes, and the duration can vary from short-term (a few weeks to months) to longer-term depending on the issues being addressed. However tailor-made packages can be instated to meet individual needs as required.

Is therapy confidential?
Therapy interventions are confidential. The relationship between therapist and client is protected by law and information cannot be disclosed without written consent. The only exceptions are if and when there is suspected abuse/neglect to a child/vulnerable adult or when the client threatens serious harm to self or others, in which case every effort is made to ensure the safety of those affected as required by law. I will share thoughts that guide you to take proactive actions leading to sustained solutions and desired outcomes.

What if I cannot make it to a session?
Please notify Optimized Transformations within 24 hours if you are unable to make it to a scheduled session, otherwise you will be billed, unless there are exceptional extenuating circumstances. I have a cancellation policy that should be discussed with you and understood before starting therapy.

How do I know if Optimal Transformations is a good match for me?
It's important that you feel OptimizedTransformations is a good fit for you. With this in mind I offer a short free initial screening consultation to discuss your primary goals and to clarify what you want from the therapeutic process.

Will my insurance cover therapy sessions?
The coverage for therapy sessions can vary depending on the insurance plan, and it's important to check with your insurance provider. Please refer to our Payments and Billing Page for more information.

What if I feel like I have my problems under control?
Even if you feel like you have your problems under control, therapy can still help you develop coping mechanisms and improve your overall well-being and purpose and meaning in life.

What if I don't feel like I have a major problem?
Therapy can also benefit individuals who do not have a major problem but want to improve their mental health and well-being through process of lifestyle coaching.
